This Privacy Policy constitutes a legal binding agreement between you (“you” or “your”, “user”), as the user of the website (the “Site”), and Wandering Sage Studios LLC (“RISE TV”, “us”, “we”, “our”) as the owner. You are hereby advised to read this Privacy Policy carefully and fully understand the nature and purpose of gathering and/or collecting sensitive, personal and other information and the usage, disclosure and sharing of such information.
We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment and our goal is to collect only the information about our users and their use of our services that will help us provide the best online experience possible, and so our privacy practices are guided by data privacy laws in the United States and laws that apply to other countries where data with personal character is protected.
Applicability
This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, storage and disclosure of any information including, business or personal information provided by you while using our website. This Privacy Policy specifically governs the collection and use of personal data and/or information provided by you, and the processing of personal data and/or information provided by you while using our Site.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install our mobile or TV application (the “Applications”) or make payments, which may also collect and use data about you. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.
Your use of the website will be governed by this Privacy Policy in addition to the Terms of Use as applicable to you. The Privacy Policy together with the Terms of Use are referred to as the website documents.
Collection of your Personal Information
In order to better provide you with services offered on our Site, RISE TV may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:
– E-mail Address
– Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date)
This information is used to complete the purchase transaction.
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through RISE TV’s public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.
The information collected by the RISE TV Applications are the same. But please keep in mind that the Applications are offered through a service provider (the “Service Provider”), that might collect the following information:
E-mail Address;
Receipt: any receipt data passed to the Service Provider’s servers from the various app stores that is attributed to the user;
Purchase: the Service Provider’s specific purchase data based on Receipts received from the stores;
Meter: any metering data (how many article views of a meter have been consumed/are left, how many minutes of a preview/video have been consumed/are left, etc.) attributed to the user;
Session: any session data passed to the Service Provider;
Saved/Viewed Data: any articles/videos that the user has saved to the user’s saved queue and any article that a logged in user has viewed;
Device Data: the device ID for this user. This is used primarily for push notification sending, and has potential use cases in limiting total number of devices per authenticated user account;
PrintSub UserSync: any data passed to the Service Provider’s servers as a result of a user authenticating from the app via a Database Integration. (Neither Wired or Bon Appetit use DBI setup).
The Service Provider does not request GeoLocation information.
If you choose to share data about yourself via your profile, online chat, or other interactive areas of the Application, please be advised that all data you disclose in these areas is public and your data will be accessible to anyone who accesses the Application.
Mobile Device Access
If you are using one of the Applications, the Service Provider may request access or permission to bluetooth if you have certain utilities enabled like Chromecast or Apple Watch.
Use of your Personal Information
RISE TV collects and uses your personal information to:
1. create and manage your account;
2. operate its website and deliver the services you have requested;
3. email you regarding your account or order;
4. process payments and refunds.
5. respond to product and customer service requests;
6. send you a newsletter.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
RISE TV does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.
RISE TV does not share data with other partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or provide customer support.
RISE TV may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on RISE TV or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of RISE TV; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of RISE TV, or the public.
When you post comments, contributions or other content to the Applications, your posts may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside the Application in perpetuity.
Tracking User Behavior
RISE TV may keep track of the pages our users visit within RISE TV, in order to determine which of our services are the most popular. RISE TV and the Service Provider for the Applications may use Matomo, Matomo Cloud service by InnoCraft, and Google Analytics to analyze and track users’ use of the Applications, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand online activity.
Automatically Collected Information
RISE TV does not automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software, such as: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses.
Use of Cookies
The Site may use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

For example, if you personalize RISE TV pages, or register with RISE TV services, a cookie helps RISE TV to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. When you return to the same RISE TV website, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the RISE TV features that you customized.

When you access the Applications, your personal information is not collected through the use of tracking technology. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can remove or reject cookies, but be aware that such action could affect the availability and functionality of the Applications.

The services provided through the RISE TV Apps are not intended for – and RISE TV does not direct them to – anyone under thirteen. And that’s why RISE TV does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under thirteen.

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:

California Privacy Rights
RISE TV does not share the collected infringing information with third parties.
According to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, if you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Applications, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Application. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Applications, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from our systems.
Changes to this Statement
RISE TV reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by updating any privacy information on this page. Your continued use of the Site and/or Services available through this Site after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.
