It seemed to be one of the earliest known manuscripts of the Gospel of Thomas, which mentioned a miracle Jesus performed as a child. But this brings up a very important question: Why isn’t Saint Thomas’ Gospel in the Bible today?

The Gospel of Thomas was discovered in 1945 at Nag Hammadi in Egypt. The manuscript contained 114 sayings attributed to Jesus. Some believe that the ideas Thomas mentioned sounded too absurd to be written in the Bible, or appeared to be potentially contradictory to the beliefs of Jesus’ other disciples. But what was exactly mentioned? The Gospel of Mary Magdalene was also left out of the Bible. What exactly happened at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD?
