‘It’s Over for Us’: China’s AI Seedance Takes Internet by Storm

Is Hollywood doomed? ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, released their new AI video engine called Seedance, which is so realistic that some are saying you can’t even tell the difference between a movie and AI anymore.

In previous AI models, you could only make 10-second clips. Now, some creators are making sequences so seamless that they’re over 2 minutes long. What does this mean for Hollywood or news reporting? Could it be used to make fake videos of people, as well?
